Hypnosis does not Resemble Sleep

Eventhough a person under hypnosis takes on the features of someone actually sleeping, they are pretty aware.  Hypnosis cannot be described in simple terms, as nobody knows what goes on inside the mind of a subject put under hypnosis.  What we do know is that while in hypnosis (or self hypnosis, for that matter), the hypnotic subject becomes suggestible.  His attention is narrowed down.  Firstly, the sense of sight is lost as he is asked to close his eyes.  Although one by one the senses are little by little slipping away, one sense is greatly enhanced by the process of hypnotic induction.  This is the sense of hearing.  A subject under hypnosis can often hear isolated sounds that they would not be able to hear in the natural waking state. When you hypnotize and induce trance state in people, you will often find that after awakening the hypnotic subject, they will believe they could not have been put under hypnosis as they could still hear your voice.  The delusion that they won’t be able to hear your voice repeatedly comes from those people who think hypnosis to be similar to sleep.

Live in Lingayen, Pangasinan, Wowowie

wowoweeToday, one of the top rating TV programs in the Philippines Wowowee is suppose to perform a show in one of the tourist locations and a part of the so-called Paradise Philippines in the capital town of Pangasinan, which is Lingayen.  It was postponed due to weather conditions.  It was supposed to be held at the capitol grounds of Lingayen, just few meters away from the Lingayen Gulf.

Willie Revillame, TV host and the star of Wowowie was supposed to entertain the people of Lingayen and other nearby towns. The TV show has gained so much popularity that made our country named as Paradise Philippines. The show even reaches other Filipinos from other countries through the use of the True Filipino Channel or known as TFC. The people of Lingayen were so excited. In fact, they have already made their preparations the day before the show will be held.

The Lingayenians or the constituents of Lingayen were surprised after they heard the postponement of Wowowee. Everybody got sad about the news and they have to remove all the preparations that they have made. Good news is that, the show is reset on a tentative date on December 1, 2007.  More performers will come and games will be played for the people of Lingayen and other Filipinos around the world will enjoy and take pleasure on the show. This will again make the shores of Lingayen Gulf a new Paradise Philippines history in the making.
