The seasons in Africa very greatly from one to the next, making the time of year you visit important. June-August is the best time to visit Tanzania for a number of reasons. The rains will be over, but the land has not yet become dry and dusty. Additionally, since it is dry, the insects will be at a minimum. This is also a great time to visit because it will not be excessively hot, with mild temperature at night and a daytime high that is comfortable. This is also a time when many of the animals may have young ones that you can see.
